Agree! I just remmembered an article about Finnish mobile gaming company called “Fingersoft”, led by CEO Jaakko Kylmäoja, recently made headlines by introducing a 6-hour workday with 90% of full pay, a free gym, sauna, and wellness benefits for all employees- more freedom, more time for themselves.

I personally believe that working from home is truly the best setup — especially for introverts. Not only do you save a significant amount of time, but you also tend to work with far greater focus and concentration. No unnecessary interruptions, no small talk you didn’t ask for, just deep work on your own terms.

That said, I understand it’s not for everyone. For extroverts, or for people who live alone and crave social connection, the office can be a genuinely energising place. Human contact matters, and for some people the workplace fills that need beautifully.

If conditions were anything like those at Fingersoft — shorter hours, real perks, a culture built around wellbeing — then even the office wouldn’t sound so bad. In fact, it might actually be a joy.

But in a world that is not “Fingersoft”, where the standard is still 8+ hours, fluorescent lighting, and open-plan noise — the freedom to work from home means everything. Corona did help a lot to achive homeofice aka. More freedom
